She finished the season ranking third in points (14), goals (6) and assists (2). Laura gave the Tigers her best performance in the NorPac Tournament as she scored the game tying goal with under six minutes remaining in regulation in Pacific's 2-1 (OT) win over Stanford in the semi-finals. Maurer added two goals in Pacific's 3-2 win over California in the NorPac Tournament Championship lifting the Tigers to their first NorPac Championship since 1989. Following the Tournament Maurer was named the NorPac Tournament MVP and earned a spot on the womensfieldhockey.com Honor Roll.<b>2003 (Sophomore):</b>Laura appeared in all of Pacific's 16 contests in 2003, scoring two goals. The sophomore midfielder made the most of her opportunities as she tallied her two goals on just three shots, a .667 shot percentage. Both of Laura's goals last season came in crucial moments as she gave Pacific a 2-1 win over Georgetown on Sept. 15th with her first goal. Later in the season, Maurer scored the first goal in Pacific's 2-1 win over Davidson on Oct. 12th.<b>2002 (Freshman):</b>Maurer made her debut as a Tiger in the first contest of the 2002 season against Rutgers on August 31st. On the season, she saw action in 17 of Pacific's 18 games, including three starts. Laura notched her first goal as a Tiger on October 18th in Pacific's 3-1 loss to Yale. It would be Maurer's only goal of the season as she attempted seven shots in a reserve role.<b>High School:</b>Maurer attended Fallbrook High School, where she helped lead the Warriors to their first Avocado League championship in over a decade as a senior. Maurer was named team MVP in 2001 and earned player of the game honors in five matches. She also earned recognition as a member of the All-Avocado League First Team and and All-North County First Team. In addition to field hockey, Maurer also was named MVP of her track team in 2001 and 2002 as well as MVP of her lacrosse team in 2002. In the classroom she also excelled as a member of the Union Tribune All-Academic Team and the CIF Scholastic Team.<b>Personal:</b>Laura Maurer was is the daughter of Jerry and Adele Maurer. In her fourth year at Pacific, Laura is majoring in dental hygiene.<b>MacDonald on Maurer:</b>"Laura gained a lot of confidence this past year.
